So, who am I and who is it going to be that turns up on your wedding day?
My name is Chris Lord and I own and run Lord Photography. Lord Photography was just a pipe dream back in 2009 and now we enter our 10th year of business getting stronger and stronger year on year.
Im proud to say that at the end of the 1st year of business we made a massive £26 PROFIT. Those that know will understand that this in itself is a massive task. Most businesses take until their 3rd year to become profitable we managed it in just 52 weeks!
At heart Im a family man, with my wife Vicky being the one that is the glue to our family. Together we have 3 fantastic boys, Daniel, Thomas and Samuel. Oh and not to forget our Jack Russell Harry.
Wedding photography has been something that we have been passionate about since the tender age of 16.
In our 20 years we have comfortably covered over 1500 weddings be that as the main photographer or as a 2nd shooter.
Weddings are stressful times and very emotive. We understand that you want things to go perfect and we help you ensure that the day runs as smooth as possible. We have been often described as an extension of the bridal party.
We take time to get to know our clients and strive to get the images that not only will last a lifetime but will also be on display in your families homes for decades to come. Our approach while modern still has the traditional core values of wedding photography at heart. Meaning we want you to have something you are proud to display, after all in this modern world people seem to only be getting together with their families for Births, Marriages and Deaths. Nothing is more valuable than a moment captured that becomes a memory and is there to be remember for all.
After all, what is left after your wedding day to remember the day? Your Dress? Your Rings? Your Photographs!!

Frequently asked questions
When I will be able to see my wedding photos?
Have you photographed a wedding at our venue before?
This is a question that we get asked quite a lot. I have to be honest from my point of view where your wedding is, is your choice and im happy working at all types of venues. As a rule we generally arrive early and scout the location for where we think would work well. There are so many variables on a wedding day, being the the UK and in the North West this tends to be the weather that the main influence. It is sometimes an advantage to not of photographed a wedding at a venue so as to not get a "jaded" view on locations. We know that us having already photographed at your venue it could put your mind at rest.
How many photographers are included in the package?
Do you have insurance?
What happens if you are ill and can’t cover our wedding?
I don’t want to stress you with this one, but I have already covered twice for other photographers in past. Got a stressed-out phone call from friends photographers who are sick and can’t cover the event. Please ask photographers who would be covering in these kinds of cases. I have a list of photographers who could help me out or my second photographer would step in as the main photographer and then we just need to find a second shooter for candids portraits. I would be the one that would be editing your images so you can rest assure that the final product would be going through the same processes as if id photographed your wedding myself.
May I read some reviews from previous couples? Can I talk to them?
Simply put yes you can. You can look at our testimonial page to see some of our recent feedback ( https://www.lordphoto.co.uk/testimonials )
What are the booking fees and payment schedules?
A £200 non-refundable booking fee is due to secure your wedding date. We shall hold the date as booked until a mutually agreed date, if no deposit is paid on this date then the date will be opened up. The remaining balance is as discussed to be made within 4 weeks of the wedding date. Your invoice remains open at all times allowing you to part pay bits of your wedding as you go so you dont have one large sum to find in one go.
Can we meet up before our wedding date?
If you are local to us ie in lancashire or within 45mins drive then the answer is if we both feel its beneficial then yes we can. If you are outside of this then I aim to have at least 3 video calls with you to discuss at length your date and your expectations. I think now that we have had to do this because of the Covid-19 issues i think the video calls are going to be more widely used. You are of course always welcome to drop in to see us at our busisness address but please check ahead before turning up as we may be out on a job or have another client with us.
