Some Of my Favourite Wedding Venues

Stirk House, Gisburn

I first photographed at Stirk house over 20 years ago when i was a 2nd shooter for a local photographers in Accrington. This place has seen a very good transformation over the last few years and i have to say that i am very excited for the future of this venue. They have the staff that are attentive and helpful and from a photographers point of view this is needed so much to assist in the day running smoothly. Its closer than you realise and gives you some great grounds as well as their iconic tree thats nestles just off the drive way. Im glad that i have several wedding book here in the upcoming 12 months and shall really look forwards to working along side Dave and his team again. ( little post about the last wedding there is here :- ) I would say that this is one of the hidden gems round our area and im happy to see that they are going from strength to strength.

Falcon Manor, Settle

We have only ever had the pleasure of this venue once but it has truly made an impression. A great building with roaring fires and grounds with view that are just unbelievable. When we were the we had the pleasure of photographing alongside the team from TLCs "Say yes to the dress Lancashire" ( )it was certainly a day to remember and i think that we did the brides justice with some amazing imagery for them. The views and the range of photograph opportunities are quite unique to this venue as the building is just off the main road into the village, Youd never think that from the images that a produced here and I for one would love to shoot there again. Great romantic venue for all different wedding sizes.

Beeston Manor, Houghton

One of the more popular wedding venues around this area and i can see why, from the bright and airy ceremony room to the vast grounds and photo opportunities all around this great venue. A Romantic setting for your reception, it can be celebrated with total exclusivity and will be held with a backdrop of countryside views, your photographs can be taken overlooking Beeston Woods and in the corn fields if in season. Beeston Manor’s style is very simple and neutral, which means all colour schemes work perfectly! Beeston Manor is perfect for any size of wedding, from hosting small intimate weddings to larger parties of up to 125 during the wedding reception, and up to 200 for the evening reception.

Eaves Hall, Clitheroe

Wonderful venue that has it all. Whether you going there for just your reception or you are having the ceremony there as well. Multiple rooms, grounds, lots and lots of photograph opportunities welcome to Eaves Hall, a glorious building surrounded by beautiful gardens set amidst the simply stunning countryside of the Ribble Valley. The thoughtfully updated interiors have been designed to bring out the best of the original features, creating a unique, contemporary country house ambience and atmosphere. 2 indoor rooms and 2 outdoor spaces are licensed for civil ceremonies making Eaves Hall the perfect choice for small, intimate weddings and bigger blowouts for all your family and friends whatever the theme.

Higher Trapp House, Simonstone

I have to include this wedding venue as i got married here over 10 years ago. It was also one of the first wedding venues that i photographed at regularly when i started out over 20 years ago. It has undergone a few changes over the years with differing hotel chains owning it and they have got a solid grip on the direction that they are wishing to go with their weddings. Situated in the the Ribble Valley and surrounded by breathtaking scenery, Higher Trapp House is a popular place for exclusive wedding use for your special day. There’s highlights aplenty at our stunning wedding venue, from the traditional oak staircase, cosy fireplaces and original leaded windows, to the glorious Pagoda in the gardens

These are not listed in any particular order just some of the more memorable places to work. There are several other venues that if closer to us would of been included. For example Goosedale in Nottingham I have been a few times and it one of those venues that just has it all for all weather types too.

If you have any venue questions feel free to message us and we will of course offer a little advice on what we find is a beneficial or even questions to ask your venue wedding planner.
